Location

The Grand Forks County Historical Society is located at 2405 Belmont Road in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Hours of Operation

The grounds of the Historical Society are open year round.  Guided tours are available May 15th to September 15, 7 days a week, 1 pm to 5 pm or any other time by appointment.

Admission and Fees

Admission is $8 for persons age 16 and older and $5 for children age 10-15. Children under 10 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

News

Our schoolhouse was missing its tower and the only remedy was to build a new one!  In the summer of 2024 volunteers built a new school bell tower. 
We would like to thank Young Manufacturing for donating the repairs necessary to the bell mounting apparatus.  MAK Construction donated their equipment, labor, and expertise to skillfully mount it on top of the school!  Thank you!

Completed Projects:

  1. Installation of an elevator connecting the basement to the main floor in the Myra Museum.
  2. Construction of the Myra Auto Livery
  3. Extensive repairs and preservation of our Post Office
  4. Repair of the soffit and fascia of the Myra Museum
  5. Construction of a back step of the Campbell House
  6. Upgrading of fire alarm and security alarm systems
  7. Repair of the front entryway to the Myra Museum
  8. Replacement of the concrete sidewalk at the Myra Museum
  9. Painting of the Gazebo
  10. Completion of phase 2 of the Post Office repair project.
  11. School bell tower construction

  2. Repair Campbell House outdoor kitchen
